Wednesday Nighter April 25th
Thank Mika and Trish for inspiring me with tales of the old SCC circuit races from back in the day. Bundle up, it looks like it's going to be another cold night but things will get heated in a hurry on this cicuitous delight.
Depart Steamy Bean at 6:30pm. Make way to Allens Side Wallace Terrace junction via Northern Ave/Carmens Way/Lyons Ave/Wallace Terrace. Split into appropriate groups.
West on Base Line to Airport Road; Right on Airport Road to Second Line; East on Second Line; Left on Town Line for Circuit 1:
2 full laps of the following: North Town Line; up hill then veer eastbound on Third Line; Right on Carpin Beach; South back to Second Line
on the third lap you will make a left off of Carpin Beach back on to Third Line instead of heading back down to 2nd Line; continue Eastbound to Allens Side; Make a left on Allens Side for the Second Circuit:
2 full laps of the following:
North on Allens Side up hill as it veers east to Fourth Line; East on Fouth Line to Goulais; South on Goulais to Third Line; West on Third Line to Allens
On the third lap the finish will be the yellow sign at the top of the hill just beyond the overhead flasher.
A few points:
- Please obey all stop signs
- no attacking after stop signs (ensure you regroup - though not including those who may have already been dropped)
- be cautious making the left from Carpin Beach to Third Line (no attacking off this corner due to potential oncoming traffic coming north on Carpin Beach)
