• CRIMSON CROSS WRAP-UP

    Conditions couldn’t have been more cross if we’d ordered them, with a full day of rain the day before and rain on and off for Sunday’s main event, it truly felt like cross racing.

    First out of the gates was the B race breaking in the course for the afternoon racers. Gavin Grant took top honors in the massive field racking up 5 laps with Adam Cowley hot on his heels, coming in for 3rd place was Brent McMillan. Danielle Anstess took the top step in the women’ B race, with Stephanie Eusebi and Daniela Gebhart finishing out the podium.

    The kids race followed with Makks, Eric, and Ryder rounding out the podium spots. With a break after the kids race it was time for the main event, Sundays A race was filled with hard hitters. A front group established themselves off the start and jockeyed for position with plenty of leader changes at the front. After a few attacks it was Paul DeBeer and Jan Roubal going blow for blow, with Paul coming around in the final sprint to take the top spot on the podium with Jan coming in for second and the American contingent Trevor Smela gaining ground every lap to come in for a close 3rd place. The womens A race saw Daniele Anstess taking the top step again with Daniela Gebhart coming in for second.
