SJI CX RESULTS

Thanks to Paul DeBeer and Brad Phaneuf at Algoma Bicycle Company for making the second race of our series such a great event! We had 56 racers, 16 teams in the relay, 21 riders in the individual race and 14 kids in the kids’ race. The event attracted a number of new riders, including some very promising young riders, some UPCROSS racers from Marquette, and a number of island folks. Thanks for coming out racers, there would be no race without you! There also would be no race without a venue, thanks Jocelyn Township, Mountainview Centennial Park was a fantastic venue!

Thank you to Aaron Rahim from Giant for bringing up the demos and providing draw prizes. Thank you to the Hoffmans for supplying St. Joe Island Coffee throughout the day. Thank you to Brian and Judy Dukes for all their work at the FREE bbq and concession – no hot dog handups without you!

Course design, marking and the many kilometres of race tape were all done/donated by Paul and Brad with help from Jamie Capisciolto. Amanda Luther and Lisa Venier handled the daunting registration table. John Myles and Kim Chapman were the timers.
