Hwy 552 Hill Climb – 7pm May 31

The second in our series of road events this season will take place on May 31 at 7pm.  Park at Aweres School in Heyden and meet at the intersection of Hwy 552 and Bellevue Valley Rd.

This climb will follow a slightly different format from the Goulais Ave climb.  We’ll do two ascents, this time around.  The first will be just a timed run to set a handicap.  In the second, we’ll set off in handicap order and attempt to create a photo-finish.  I’ll conscript several of you to help out with timing, but don’t worry, timers will have a chance to ride too!

Though it’s a pretty hard climb, you don’t need any specific equipment or skills.  I’ve done it on a single-speed quite successfully in the past!  Just come on out and have a good time regardless of skill, fitness, or equipment.

Remember that you must be a member of the club to ride.  Membership is only $30.  I’d appreciate it if you purchased your membership prior to the ride, but if you’re unable, please show up early and I’ll accept your registration.
