Gravel Series Moves to Echo Bay Aug 23

As the season winds down, it’s time to get the gravel, cyclocross, and XC bikes out!  Come out and get some practice in on the loose surfaces prior the gravel grinders and Cyclocross races this year.

I don’t expect to be out after dark, but sunset is getting earlier and earlier, so it would be wise to bring lights.

This Week’s ride starts at the Echo Bay Central Public School at 7:00pm.  Map: Google.

This will be a social, no-drop ride following Hwy 17B back towards Echo River Rd where we’ll head back along some nice gravel with a fun little bridge.  We get a bit more pavement as we take Pioneer Rd to Watson, Ford, and Lapish roads, then head across Lake George Rd to hit up some more gravel on Lakeview Road.  We return on Bar River Rd and up Government Road for a bit of fresh gravel between there at Watson Rd before taking Pioneer and Church streets back to the meeting point.  Map: RidewithGPS

Shawn will be leading a C-group ride which may involve some light gravel, but she’ll be on her road bike, so we’re talking easily-passable roads.
