Name: Reg Peer
Position: Fat Bike Director

A bit about myself: Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie! I grew up playing team sports like hockey and soccer as kid and got into riding in my late teens. I enjoy riding all types of bikes. In the last few years I have developed an interest in competing in “Ultras” (really long bike races). I’ve raced in couple ultras in the UP, the Marji Gesik 100 mile and the Crusher 225 mile. One of these days I would like to tackle the Arrowhead 135, the Highland Trail 500, and the Tour Divide! I also have started up a cycling touring company, with a couple friends, called Red Pine Tours!

My Interests include riding bikes, hunting & fishing, playing shinny with the boys, and brewing beer!

I am a part of the cycling club because I want to grow and develop the sport in our community.

Cycling is a great way to explore the city, the woods, and the surrounding area. It allows you to view places that you’ve been before from a different perspective. When I’m out on my bike nothing else matters, I can escape from the natural day to day stresses and worries of everyday life…. it’s also a really fun time and it’s even better when you’re out with friends!
