Sault Cycling Club Touring Night

June 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Sault Ste. Marie is ideally located in the heart of some great cycle touring country. Whether it’s along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, around Manitoulin Island, or throughout Michigan there is a lot to offer. If you’re interested in doing some touring this year, come out and share your ideas of possible trips we can do together. At this point we’re trying to get an idea of what types of trips people would like to do and we’re open to all kinds of ideas, from short weekend trips in the local area of 1 to 2 nights to longer trips either locally or further afield.

To kick off the evening we will have two people share some slides and stories of their past cycle tours. Jack Perrotta-Lewin will share some slides and stories of one of his past tours from the UK through Europe and Asia and back on his way to find the grave of his Great Grandfather in Myanmar (Burma). Also, we will have Heather Carter share some experiences of her first extended trip which she did over the course of 10 days to Toronto and back last year with her husband.

Whether you’re a seasoned bicycle tourist or someone wanting to learn more about it, please come out and join us, as it promises to be a fun evening!
