Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

Bring your mountain bike and join the Sault Cycling Club for a day of fun on the trails!

IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) Canada’s Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) is an annual event that seeks to introduce the joy of mountain biking to the next generation. Created in 2004 in honour of Jack Doub, an avid teenage mountain biker from North Carolina who passed away in 2002.

Please use the link below to sign up so we know how many riders to expect on the day.

The Sault Cycling Club looks forward to hosting you at the Kinsmen Park (Hiawatha Highlands), for guided rides, games and a BBQ. Riders of all ages are welcome and this event is free for all to attend, no club membership is needed. Adults are encouraged to attend with their kids and hang out for some fun too!

All riders (Kids and Adults) will need to following:

• A trail worthy bike
• A helmet
• Clothing suitable for the days weather
• Snacks and Drinks (BBQ and Drinks will be available after ride)

The day will run as follows:

10:30 AM

Meet and register at the park, find your ride leader and get to know your group!

11:00 AM

Rides leave at 11am sharp, there will be three rides as follows:

Strider/Small Wheelers: Lap of the Family Adventure Trail, 1.2 kms of trail with 10 metres of climbing

Intermediate Ride: 5-6km with 50 metres of climbing maximum

Advanced Ride: 7-12km with around 100 metres of climbing

12-12.30 PM: Riders will return to the Kinsmen Park where our BBQ’ers will have hot dogs ready for you with drinks available also!
