Overnight tour, August 24-25th

Attention SCC Members, there will be an overnight bikepacking adventure on August 24 & 25.

This is a self support ride (food, shelter, clothes, your guide will bring a water filtration pump) if you require gear please let us know and we’ll try and help you out.  We will depart from Hiawatha around 9:30am (meet around 9am), the fun starts when we hit the Ranger Lake Hwy; there we can refill our water bottles at a spring and start kicking up dust on the gravel. After a short bit we will turn off the Ranger Lake Hwy and head south towards Carpenter Lake (this road is gravel, jeep tracks, loose rocks, and some ups and downs), somewhere between the turnoff and the lake we can stop for the overnighter; this will not be a fast ride due to terrain and the philosophy of these rides.  The next day we will cycle towards SSM via Hwy 638 and some sides roads, just to make things interesting.  The plan is to return Sunday early afternoon.
